Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to HandymanBeacon, including contractor accounts, homeowner quote requests, subscriptions, marketplace services, reviews, AI-assisted features, and platform tools.

Effective Date: June 5, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of HandymanBeacon. HandymanBeacon is operated by North Star Logic Group LLC, located in Dallas, Georgia, USA.

By accessing, browsing, creating an account, submitting a quote request, publishing a contractor profile, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using HandymanBeacon, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use HandymanBeacon.

2. Description of Services

HandymanBeacon provides software and marketplace services for contractors, home-service businesses, and homeowners. The platform may include:

  • A contractor marketplace and profile directory.
  • Lead generation tools and homeowner quote request workflows.
  • Contractor business management tools, including CRM-style lead management, pipeline, tasks, estimates, jobs, calendars, forms, inbox, reporting, and related features.
  • Review management tools, including review requests and verified homeowner review workflows.
  • Contractor profile, directory placement, marketplace visibility, and lead capture features.

Features, plans, pricing, limits, availability, providers, and user experiences may evolve over time. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use HandymanBeacon. By using the platform, you represent that you are at least 18 and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself or the business you represent.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep account, business, profile, billing, and contact information reasonably up to date.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, login methods, devices, and access permissions. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or organization, including actions taken by team members, invitees, or other users you authorize.

You agree to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, misuse, or a security issue involving your account. HandymanBeacon may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts when necessary to protect users, the platform, marketplace integrity, payment systems, or legal interests.

5. Contractor Responsibilities

Contractors are solely responsible for their businesses, services, representations, pricing, estimates, customer relationships, legal compliance, and work performed. This includes responsibility for:

  • Licensing, registration, insurance, bonding, permits, and legal compliance.
  • The quality, safety, accuracy, pricing, estimates, scope, scheduling, and completion of services performed.
  • Customer communications, disputes, refunds, cancellations, warranties, guarantees, and follow-up outside of HandymanBeacon.
  • Ensuring contractor profile content, photos, reviews responses, estimates, messages, and other submitted content are accurate, lawful, and not misleading.

HandymanBeacon does not verify contractor licensing, insurance, permits, qualifications, background, or workmanship unless explicitly stated in writing for a specific program or feature.

6. Homeowner Responsibilities

Homeowners are responsible for the information they submit, including contact information, project details, photos, location information, timing preferences, and other quote request content. Homeowners are responsible for evaluating contractors, verifying credentials where appropriate, communicating expectations, and deciding whether to hire or work with a contractor.

HandymanBeacon is not responsible for homeowner decisions, contractor selection, project outcomes, payment disputes, property access, safety conditions, or communications between homeowners and contractors after a quote request is shared or a relationship begins.

7. Marketplace Disclaimer

HandymanBeacon is a marketplace and lead-generation platform. HandymanBeacon is not a contractor, does not perform home services, does not supervise projects, does not control contractor work, and does not guarantee contractor quality, homeowner quality, project outcomes, pricing, availability, or results.

Contractors and homeowners are independent parties. HandymanBeacon is not a party to agreements between contractors and homeowners unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

8. Quote Requests and Leads

Homeowners voluntarily submit quote requests through contractor profiles, forms, chatbot workflows, or other platform features. Quote requests may be shared with contractors or contractor organizations so they can respond, evaluate the opportunity, provide estimates, schedule work, or manage follow-up.

HandymanBeacon does not guarantee lead quality, homeowner responsiveness, project value, job size, budget accuracy, conversion rates, revenue, availability of leads, or that any quote request will result in a booked job or payment.

9. Lead Refund Policy

Lead refunds, credits, adjustments, or account accommodations may be granted solely at HandymanBeacon's discretion.

There is no guarantee of refunds, no guarantee of credits, and no automatic entitlement to account adjustments. Each situation is reviewed individually, and any accommodation may depend on account history, available records, platform data, plan status, suspected abuse, and other relevant factors.

10. Reviews

HandymanBeacon may provide review management tools, including review requests and a verified homeowner review system tied to real quote requests, jobs, or platform workflows. Reviews may be moderated, removed, hidden, rejected, displayed publicly, or otherwise managed to protect users, accuracy, marketplace integrity, and legal compliance.

Fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, incentivized, manipulated, irrelevant, unlawful, or policy-violating reviews may be removed or hidden. Contractors may not manipulate reviews, submit reviews on their own behalf, pressure homeowners for false reviews, or interfere with the integrity of the review system.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse HandymanBeacon or interfere with the platform, users, marketplace integrity, billing systems, or security. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Fraud, scams, deception, false business information, fake profiles, impersonation, or misleading claims.
  • Spam, harassment, threats, abusive communications, discriminatory conduct, or unlawful activity.
  • False reviews, review manipulation, fake homeowner submissions, or attempts to distort marketplace signals.
  • Circumvention of lead access restrictions, billing gates, plan limits, security controls, or subscription requirements.
  • Unauthorized scraping, crawling, harvesting, copying, reverse engineering, probing, or automated use of the platform.
  • Uploading malware, attempting unauthorized access, interfering with service operation, or abusing support, forms, chatbot, email, SMS, or communication tools.

12. Suspension and Termination

HandymanBeacon may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts, access, profiles, listings, features, subscriptions, or marketplace participation for reasons including fraud, abuse, harassment, spam, fake contractor profiles, Terms violations, security concerns, non-payment, legal risk, provider requirements, or platform integrity concerns.

Termination, restriction, refund, credit, or reinstatement decisions may be made at HandymanBeacon's discretion. We may preserve records after suspension or termination as needed for legal, security, billing, fraud prevention, operational, and compliance purposes.

13. Subscription Billing

HandymanBeacon may offer paid plans, subscriptions, upgrades, add-ons, or other paid services. Subscription fees, feature availability, plan names, usage limits, and billing terms may change over time. Billing is processed through Stripe, and your use of paid features may also be subject to Stripe's terms and policies.

Accounts may be suspended, downgraded, limited, or terminated for non-payment, failed payment methods, charge disputes, abuse of billing systems, or other payment-related issues.

14. Future Monetization

HandymanBeacon may introduce, modify, or discontinue paid products and monetization models over time. These may include monthly subscriptions, annual subscriptions, lead unlock purchases, pay-per-lead models, featured placement, sponsored listings, advertising products, premium profile features, usage-based charges, or other future paid services.

Continued use of paid features after pricing, plan, or monetization changes become effective may require acceptance of updated terms or payment terms.

15. Intellectual Property

The HandymanBeacon platform, software, design, branding, logos, interface, workflows, documentation, content, and related intellectual property are owned by HandymanBeacon, North Star Logic Group LLC, or their licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the platform except as permitted by these Terms or by written permission. You retain responsibility for content you submit, but grant HandymanBeacon the rights needed to host, display, process, transmit, and operate that content as part of the platform.

16. AI-Assisted Features

HandymanBeacon may offer AI-assisted features such as AI chatbot lead capture, automated lead routing, AI-assisted recommendations, lead quality analysis, draft text, workflow suggestions, and other AI-assisted business tools.

AI-generated or AI-assisted content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or inaccuracies. Users should review AI-assisted outputs before relying on them, sending them to customers, quoting work, making decisions, or taking action. AI-assisted features do not replace human judgment, contractor expertise, legal advice, business advice, or customer communication.

17. Disclaimer of Warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDYMANBEACON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, OR SECURITY.

We do not guarantee uptime, uninterrupted access, error-free operation, lead volume, homeowner responsiveness, revenue, contractor success, homeowner outcomes, search ranking, marketplace visibility, review volume, or business results.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HANDYMANBEACON AND NORTH STAR LOGIC GROUP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

HandymanBeacon and North Star Logic Group LLC shall not be liable for contractor disputes, homeowner disputes, project outcomes, workmanship, property damage, personal injury, pricing disputes, payment disputes, lead quality, lost opportunities, or communications between contractors and homeowners, except where liability cannot be limited by applicable law.

19. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HandymanBeacon, North Star Logic Group LLC, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your conduct, your services, your content, your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your interactions with homeowners, contractors, customers, team members, or third parties.

20. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to HandymanBeacon are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.

21. Binding Arbitration

Except where prohibited by law, disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms, HandymanBeacon, your account, subscriptions, marketplace services, quote requests, leads, reviews, or platform features must be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court.

Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis and in accordance with applicable arbitration rules selected by HandymanBeacon unless otherwise required by law. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief in small claims court where available or from seeking injunctive or equitable relief where necessary to protect intellectual property, security, platform integrity, or confidential information.

22. Class Action Waiver

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you and HandymanBeacon agree that disputes will be resolved only on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, collective action, representative action, private attorney general action, or other class-wide proceeding.

23. Changes to Terms

HandymanBeacon may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, marketplace features, billing models, providers, legal requirements, or business practices. When we update the Terms, we will revise the effective date above.

Continued use of HandymanBeacon after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using HandymanBeacon.
